After the sudden and unexpected breakup of the influential leftist rock band Rage Against the Machine, RATM members Tom Morello (guitar), Brad Wilk (drums), and Timmy Commerford (bass) surprised many fans by joining forces with ex-Soundgarden vocalist Chris Cornell and quickly forming a new group, Audioslave.
