Calorie Blastting Dance...really?! Oct 29, 2009
By Depo When I saw that the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders had Calorie Blasting Dance video I was thrilled. I'm your averaged sized 27 year old woman who works out about 4-5 days a week and I love a good dance exercise video. I was seriously disappointed. After 15 minutes I turned it off. I hadn't even broken a sweat...and I break a sweat caring laundry up and down my stairs at home. I probably burned more calories getting ready to workout. It was THAT bad. The "dance" moves are not physically challenging. The cheerleaders are annoying. I'm sorry to say it, but I wouldn't recommend this video.

The dallas cowboys cheerleaders have finally decided to put out a fitness video.what took so long?Well first you have a intro from the head cheerleader who shows you that instead of marching as you normally do in dance or any workout video you do a march called "sexy walk",which is you marching on your toes,it can get tiresome but you are toning your calves. Then she shows you the time out tap that they normally do which can get a little confusing if you have trouble with the coordination. Then they have the dance break downs from 5 cheerleaders and the moves are really easy they do a good job of slowing down and really intructing you on the moves,The girls seem like fun nice girls you would want to learn dallas cowboy cheerleader moves from. The cons of this workout dvd is that there is no kick line base moves,I mean that is signiture dcc isn't it.Also they give you a dcc sideline dance on the dvd but it's really just the cheerleaders showing off and there's no instruction to do these sideline moves,so your left just staring at the tv thinking gee must be cool to dance like that. There's a bonus section which consits of a ab workout which is alright but you probrably have to run through it 5 times to really get the benefits of the ab workout.

I was SO excited when I heard this was coming out. I have been trying to lose a few pounds for years, but have a major problem with motivation... So I thought, hey, this looks fun and its only 30 minutes. I can do that!
The dvd has 5 women (One of which has an AMAZINGLY annoying voice) doing 3 - 8 minute repetitions. I didn't even work up a sweat doing this workout. It might be good for toning, but "high calorie burn dance blast" it certainly isn't. I wouldve been better off using that money on a gym membership.

I expected more... Nov 22, 2009

"Enjoying the Journey"
I associate the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders with dynamic, fun dance routines, so I expected more from this workout. However, it's really just a lot of walking in place, on your tiptoes and stepping side-to-side. I think it was made REALLY tedious by the fact that you repeated these moves as if they were really complicated. I guess they wanted to make the routines accessible to the masses, but it does not provide enough challenge for an adequate workout. My heartrate barely elevated, if at all. This routine would get boring very quickly, as there is no room to grow. Even the most rhythm challenged individual would be able to pick up the steps the first time they tried the DVD.
One of the few positives is that the dancers leading the workout have vibrant personalities, but it is not enough to sell me on this workout.
The DVD is 36 minutes long, and the dance routine is divided into 4-5 min sections led by the different cheerleaders. The music in the routine is a very nondescript, and the moves don't coincide with the beat at all. If they decide to make another dance workout DVD, I would recommend that they include more complicated dance moves and better music. I just cannot recommend this very boring DVD. If you are looking a fabulous dance workout DVD, try Dance off the Inches:Hip Hop Party or Lindsay Brin's Dance Jam (which is also by NFL cheerleaders, but includes much better dance moves).

VERY Basic Nov 02, 2010

"Business Runner"
I have watched "Making the Team" on CMT since the first season and have always admired how fit the girls are. When I heard about the exercise videos, I thought it would be a great opportunity to learn some of the dance routines and spice up my cardio routine. What a disappointment! The moves are so basic and slow that you can't really get your heartrate up at all. If you have done any kind of aerobics classes, you are probably too advanced for this DVD. I would love for them to try again with an exercise routine that keeps you moving and doesn't explain what basic moves (like a grapevine) are during the class.
