Ever since I got a copy of this book, I looked up a lot more information on both the author and the story content - out of curiosity. In fact, I had this book on my list way before I found out that the author is actually fairly well known and this book is an extension of her website.
For those of you who are looking for a good novel, this is not the book for you. Rather, this book is more of an advice book about relationships and dating, which sort of blends in some rather generic stuff as well as some more "personal" experiences from the author.
While the reading is not horrible, I have to admit that there really isn't that much new here. Some stories are okay and entertaining, but overall, I have to say that the book was a tad flat and somewhat typical.
As I am not a YA, it is obvious that the book was not aimed at my demographic, but I think that a sign of a good YA (fiction or not) is that it should cross over into any world, all the while being enjoyable and informative - this was not really the case here.
Not a bad read, just not that stimulating.

good for younger teen girls May 24, 2011
By Laura (The Reading Nook I enjoyed this book, although I know it wasn't meant for people at my point in life. Yes i'm in my mid-twenties, but i'm also happily married, so i'm not at the dating portion of my life and haven't been in about 5 years, but I can see that this book would be very insightful and helpful to someone my age, or younger that is single and looking for mr. right. Infact im planning on lending this book out to my single friends, who need to escape from the "douchebag lords" as Lo called them at one point in her point, which literally made me laugh hysterically at the beach and people were looking at me funny, but all's far in love and war right?
I wasn't sure what to expect from Lo but her book was relatable and funny, but at the same time she had a lot of insightful information. She stated in her book that she wants to write childrens books and I can see that as being her niche for writing books, but if you are single and looking for mr. right, I would recomend her book, she focuses on loving yourself first, and love will find you, and I feel that's extremely important and a lot of times people look past that.

I didn't even finish reading this Aug 29, 2011
By Southern Belle Maybe I should have read the reviews... I didn't realize this was a "self-help/advice" book about relationships. I didn't even read half of it. It might be good for younger (high school/college) girls, but I was not a fan.

Love her. Did not love this book. Jan 27, 2013

I found this book to be geared towards tweens or teens. Maybe that's my fault for buying it in my 20s. Whoops!

Not what I expected Oct 16, 2012
By jenna This book was not at all what I was expecting. I didn't realize this was a "self help" guide to relationships. I would not recommend this book.
